Our Alpacas - We chose to raise Alpacas for the high quality fiber. We like the consistancy, and softness of the fiber for making rovings, felt, and spinning yarn. Meet our Alpacas below:

This is our blue eyed Alpaca boy, C-Note. He was our first Alpaca and was not used to being handled so you can imagine what a handful he was to load and bring to his new home. I don't believe he really knew he was an Alpaca as his buddy was a Llama. Together they watched over 70 head of sheep. Since our little herd of Alpacas has grown he has decided we aren't so bad, and eating apples and pears from our hand might be worth putting up with us. C-Note was born in Oregon in 2001 and came to us in 2005. He is considered a Fancy White.
Hershey was the second Boy to arrive at our Farm. He left his half brother and joined C-Note. He also was born in Oregon. He was not hand tamed so he was also a handful. The fresh apples and pears have helped but he is still apprehensive when we enter the pastures. Hershey is considered a Mahogany.
LF Del A Habanero or as we call him Hobby was the third boy to come and make his home with us. He was born May 22, 2004 at the Las Flores Del Altiplano Alpaca Farm in the state of Washington. His arrival, along with Domino's make them the third and fourth in our little herd. The Alpaca Registry states that he is considered a True Black.
This has to be our sweetest Boy. His name is Domino. He also came from the Las Flores Del Altiplano Alpaca Farm in Washington State. Somewhere along his lifes' journey he managed to loose an ear. This certainly hasn't slowed him down any, and maybe that is what makes him the apple of my eye. He loves being with us when we are in the pastures. With his black and white fiber, he is one of a kind on our farm. He and Hobby, arrived in May of 2005.
Luke is our oldest boy. He came to us, along with Indy in 2006. They where needing new homes, and we where ready to offer them the best we had. He loves fresh pears, apples, and carrots. During the time he has lived with us, He has decided that hand fed carrots for a morning treat is now expected. He has a toffee gray and white fiber so I consider him a Fancy White.
This beautiful White boy is Indy. He is not partial to having anyone to close. Even the morning carrots aren't enough to entice him into letting us get to close. His fiber is wonderful to work with. He has one brown spot on his side. As with most of our Alpacas, he is a Huacaya.
Welcome to our place Quinn and Strider! Quinn (white) is such a Sweetheart. He is gentle, curious, and oh, sooo soft. Strider (Black) is quite the little man. He thinks he is Quinn's protector, and is a busy body. Both Boys are young, and came to us thru Humming Angels Alpacas.
This handsome boy is Jose. He arrived with Quinn and Strider but is a little older. He has a lovely caramel brown patch on the side of his face, but other than that, he is a beautiful white.
Met Mr. Big. He came to us from Humming Angles Alpacas, located here in Oregon. He is a Huacaya and is registered as a Medium Fawn. He was born May of 2003. He is a sweetheart and a we are happy to have him join the rest of the "Boys".
